Many children face obstacles that seem insurmountable. David Boone had every right to feel that way when he was growing up, but he never gave up.
“I may have been homeless, but I worked really hard, got good grades, and that’s why I am at Harvard,” says Boone.
He just finished his sophomore year at Harvard with A’s and B’s — and is on his way to Seattle for an internship at Microsoft.
“I don’t want to be known as ‘the poor kid who got into Harvard,’ I want to be ‘the Harvard student who got out,’ ” says Boone.
