1 In 8 U.S. Public Pools Closed Due To Contamination, CDC Report Finds

The city of Cleveland Division of Recreation along with the Cleveland Metroparks have announced the 2014 Water Safety Initiative.

This means free swimming lessons are offered to Cleveland-area residents at the recreation centers.

Registration for indoor pool lessons started today. Here is more information from the City of Cleveland.

Indoor Pool Registration

June 2, 2014 – Registration Begins

Week of June 16 – Classes begin, and registration ends OR registration ends when classes fill. Space is limited. Sign up early.

Outdoor Pool Registration

Session I

Wed, June 18 – Session I registration begins

Week of June 25 – Outdoor classes begin, and registration ends OR registration ends when classes fill. Space is limited. Sign up early.

Session II

Wed, July 9 – Session II registration begins

Week of July 16 – Outdoor classes begin, and registration ends OR registration ends when classes fill. Space is limited. Sign up early.

For indoor pools all participants must be at least 4 feet tall and 8 years old.

For outdoor pools all participants must be at least 4 feet tall.
