Former Brown Josh Cribbs stopped by our studio this week to talk about a local football camp coming to Geneva next month.  It will be held at the Spire Institute from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 12th.

Cribbs said the camp will teach high school football players how to prepare to play at the next level.

“We’re not just going to be doing camp instruction,” Cribbs said. “This camp we are focusing on life skills. We have a guy speaking about goal settings, nutrtional eating so I have a nutritionist on hand to teach you how to eat healthy.”

Cribbs said the camp will also help teach you how to maximize your football opportunity.

“That will lead you through college and hopefully get you a degree,” Cribbs said. “So we are going to be mapping these things out, a blueprint of how to maximize your opportunities so it will help you along the way.”

Right now, Cribbs is a free agent. But he said he has worked out for a number of teams and expects to play this year.
