Terry McMillan is ending a long-term relationship — with her publisher.
The author of such best-sellers as Waiting to Exhale andDisappearing Acts has left Viking after 25 years and signed with Crown Publishers for her next novel.
Crown announced Monday that McMillan’s next book will be called “I Almost Forgot About You,” the story of a woman “who shakes things up in her life.”
Viking issued a statement Monday saying that it had been unable to come to terms with the author and wishing her “every success” in the future.
