flash 2

Tuesday evening’s storms and heavy rains brought quite a bit of flooding to parts of Northeast Ohio.

Starting on the East side, we had flooding in Gates Mills at Mayfield and River Roads. Martin Luther King Boulevard is also closed from I-90 to St. Clair Avenue.

The West and East Shoreways were both underwater.

There are also reports of flooding in Elyria and Garfield Heights, as rain fell very quickly.

A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service around 7 p.m. and will be in effect until 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The following roads are closed or under water:

In Cleveland:

–I-480 underpass on Brookpark is flooded.

–The West Shoreway by Clifton Blvd. is closed.

–I-90 eastbound at the 490 split has high water but is passable.

–MLK Blvd. from I-90 till St. Clair is also closed.
