The Cleveland Transformation Alliance started a campaign to let Cleveland families know that there is still time to choose a public school as the summer winds down.
“As the new school year begins, we are encouraging families to make an active choice about where they send their children to school,” said Megan O’Bryan, executive director of the Alliance. “Because of the Cleveland school district’s open enrollment policy and the quality charter schools in Cleveland, Clevelanders can choose from options across the city.”
The Alliance has purchased billboard space in five Cleveland locations, and placed posters in more than 30 roadside kiosks around the city. In addition, a street outreach team is visiting neighborhoods to ask businesses to display posters and postcards encouraging Clevelanders to “Choose your School! Change the Future!”
The Alliance has also begun working with partner organizations to recruit and train Clevelanders to help families navigate public school choice and find the best fit for their children.
