Akron welcomes home LeBron James, who is returning to the Cavaliers this season, at a special event 7:15 p.m. Friday at the University of Akron.

The event, at InfoCision Stadium and Summa Field, is sold out, and no additional tickets are available. A capacity crowd is expected.

All seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis, so attendees should plan on arriving early.

Free parking will be available in all campus lots except 6 and 9.

The university will enforce the usual restrictions at the stadium.

Prohibited items include: outside food and beverages, signs of any type, alcoholic beverages, bottles, coolers, Frisbees, laser pointers, backpacks, bags larger than 10″ x 10″ x 12″, weapons, pets, umbrellas, fireworks and clothing with inappropriate or offensive language.

Food and beverage concessions will be open.

The evening’s program will focus on LeBron’s positive impact on his hometown.
