Air Show 5_1409608491000_7684259_ver1.0_640_480

A Labor Day tradition returned to Burke Lakefront Airport as northeast Ohioans of all ages had their eyes to the sky Monday for the Cleveland National Air Show.

After taking 2013 off due to federal budget cuts, the Air Show roared back this year to the thrill of aviation fans and show performers.

“It’s phenomenal to have it back this year. My grandson gets to experience it for the first time,” said Susan O’Connor of Canton.

O’Connor’s six-year-old grandson, Logan Kuhn, watched with amazement at the breathtaking plane maneuvers in the blue sky above him.

“They’re turning around, upside down and right-side up and they’re twirling going all the way up into the sky,” described Logan.

Redline Air Shows of Cincinnati made their first appearance in the Cleveland National Air Show in 2014. Redline pilots were thrilled with the excitement on Cleveland’s lakefront.
