Browns Backpacks 5_1410287880002_7900643_ver1.0_640_480

Cleveland Browns Foundation honored Cleveland students and faculty at Walton Investment School Tuesday with an ice cream party and backpack presentation.

Walton School is one of the Foundation’s 18 Cleveland community partner schools. The goal of the partnership is to transform the schools into community schools where they break down barriers between the school and its community and offer resources and programming for the students and their families.

One hundred students and faculty were served ice cream and the students were presented new backpacks by players and staff of the Browns, including president Alec Scheiner, general manager Ray Farmer, and defensive lineman Billy Winn.

Students were selected for Tuesday’s honor for being role models and exhibiting traits of scholars in their classrooms.

Students received new pencils, paper, notebooks and other supplies in their backpacks.
