High demand to watch Cavaliers’ basketball has forced the team to come up with creative ways to sell single-game tickets.
The Cavs have implemented a monthly lottery process which will begin on Friday, Sept. 26.
Fans who want guaranteed tickets to one of the 41 home games can purchase them through the team’s Flash Seats marketplace, which will also open Sept. 26.
The team said the monthly lottery approach is an effort to reduce the number of outside brokers and individuals looking to buy individual game tickets in bulk, months in advance, with the intent of reselling them.
Cavs’ ownership said the demand has far exceeded the supply to watch LeBron James and company compete at the Quicken Loans Arena.
Tickets for preaseason games go on sale Saturday.
