Pothole EC

The complaints continue about an East Cleveland school that is surrounded by potholes.

One block of Lambert street right outside Superior Elementary school had about a dozen potholes. Some as deep as five inches, some as wide as eight feet and some as long as 15 feet. That’s big enough to fit a Ford Focus inside.

That’s what parents have to drive on everyday. The potholes continue on Garfield Road. Those are the only streets to get in and out of the school.

“It’s mainly from water damage if the street is flooded from the rain then the pothole will get worse,” said Brianna Mickler who has lived here all her life. “So it will get bigger when it’s raining.”

Residents say these potholes have been done before, but with the rain and snow we get in Cleveland make bigger every year.

“Your car will get messed up on the street and you will need to repair it,” said one anonymous driver. “No one cares about the street and how horrible the pavement is. I fell and almost broke my ankle.”

“It’s bad it’s bad so hopefully your report will help them speed things along,” said driver Blair Austin.
