JAIL 2

Operators of a low-level corrections facility in northwestern Ohio are making security changes after an inmate escaped recently.

The director of the NorthWest Community Corrections Center in Bowling Green says they’re increasing how many times they count the inmates and will conduct counts after any outdoor recreation activities.

The center’s director Cary Williams tells The Sentinel-Tribune newspaper in Bowling Green that inmates will have ID badges that will be checked when they go outside for recreation.

Police say 24-year-old Jhon Rosado escaped Sept. 17 by climbing over a fence. Officers found him the next day in the attic of an apartment in Bowling Green.

Williams says corrections facility is still reviewing what happened and conducting an internal investigation.
