It was a highly emotional interview as Lesley McSpadden, the grieving mother of gunned down teen Michael Brown, visited the Steve Harvey Show.
With tears streaming down her cheeks, she recounted the horrifying events of the day her world was shaken by the death of her firstborn. Her only comfort? Prayer and the love of her remaining children.
After receiving a call at work that her son had been shot, McSapdden said she didn’t want to believe he was dead.
“The first thing I saw that let me know was the yellow tape and I asked them, ‘Can I look and see is that my son?’ They told me no,” she told Harvey. “And I repeatedly asked that for the 41/2 hours we was out there. They wouldn’t. I wanted to see for myself.”
