BROWNS TIT

The 2014 Cleveland Browns just might be the newest edition of the 1980 Kardiac Kids.

Of the Browns’ four games played, all have come down to a score in the final minutes of play, and three of them have been decided on the game’s final snap, and on this Sunday afternoon in Nashville, Cleveland came out on the right end of the scoreboard.

With 1:09 remaining in regulation, Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer erased an 18-point halftime deficit and completed his third touchdown pass of the game with a six-yard throw to wide receiver Travis Benjamin in the back of the end zone, and gave Cleveland (2-2) a 29-28 victory over the Tennessee Titans (1-4) at L.P. Field.

“Similar to Pittsburgh, it was a tale of two halves, especially defensively, but it’s the NFL,” Browns coach Mike Pettine said. “We found a way to make enough plays to win it, and to me, that just speaks to the character of the men in the room, the resiliency, the poise, the focus, and I think a lot of teams would shut it down given what we faced at halftime.
