Let us have a moment of silence in honor of days gone by when traditional gospel music was the art form dominating the charts.

It is undeniable that a shift has taken place and Christian rap, also known as “Holy Hip Hop”—even with all its detractors blasting it—is rising like a Phoenix from the ashes and claiming its rightful place in history.

Its ascent is only beginning.

This week’s gospel charts show just how much times are shifting, with a rapper sitting at No. 1 and two other lyricists at No. 8 and No. 10: Lecrae, Canon and Andy Mineo respectively.

1. Anomaly Lecrae

2. An Incredible Journey Dorothy Norwood

3. Foreign Land 3 Winans Brothers

4. Unstoppable L. Spenser Smith

5. WOW Gospel 2014 Various Artists

6. Journey to Freedom Michelle Williams

7. Grace (EP) Tasha Cobbs

8. Loose Canon (V2) Canon

9. Neverland (EP) Andy Mineo

10. Forever Yours Smokie Norful
