board of election 1

This is the last weekend of early voting for the November 4th General Election. The Board of Elections will be open for early voting Sunday, November 2nd from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

When voting early, voters get in and out quickly, without worrying about parking and long lines.

“Was happy they have the opportunity to come do early voting,” said first time early voter Arthur Langston.

But that almost didn’t happen after Ohio lawmakers cut down the days of early voting earlier this year. While state attorneys argued Ohio offers more opportunities to vote than 41 states, Civil rights groups said it decreased the amount of low-income, African-American and homeless voters.

“It took a judge to give us back the last three days of voting but i’m so glad that we got it,” said Nina Turner who is running for Secretary of State.

She says there is no such thing as an off year election.
