The first local snow of the season is a Lake Effect event.
Several inches of snow are still possible for the primary snow belt through Saturday morning at 9 am. The Weather Service says the heaviest totals by the end of the snow event will be mainly focused on I-90 between Mentor and Conneaut.
Here’s a look the latest advisories and warnings for northeast Ohio…
*Geauga County – Lake Effect Snow Advisory until 9 am Saturday
*Ashtabula County – Lake Effect Snow Warning until 9 am Saturday
*Lake County – Lake Effect Snow Warning until 9 am Saturday.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland says snow accumulations in these counties will range from 6-10 inches by Saturday morning.
