When people go through hardships, trauma and seemingly unfair things in life, they sometimes get angry with God.

But Tionne Tenese Watkins, 44, better known as T-Boz of the best-selling girl group TLC, said she was not upset about her sickle cell diagnosis.

“I never got angry with God,” she told BET’s “Lift Every Voice” host Fonzworth Bentley in an interview.

Sickle cell disease, an inherited disorder, causes abnormal shape in red blood cells, resulting in extremely painful episodes, serious infections, chronic anemia, and damage to body organs.

Watkins has battled the disease all her life.
