The epitome of creativity and Coachella legend- 25 year old -Abel Tesfaye “The Weeknd” , showed up and shut down this years 2015 Coachella.
The Weeknd- of Canadian of Ethiopian decent, got his stage name from dropping out of high school at 17, then left one weekend and never came back. He gained a cult like following by independently releasing his first 3 mix tapes via his website for free. This idea brought him critical acclaim and landed him a spot at the Coachella Music Festival and the rest is history.
The singer/song writer, with a passion for Quiet Storm music, started the shut down of the main stage this past weekend, with the question, “Can I Get Sexy For You Coachella?”
