In an Entertainment Tonight interview, Cissy Houston said of her late daughter Whitney Houston’s addiction, “My baby tried. She did. She just had the wrong partner.”
The 81-year-old’s jab at ex-husband Bobby Brown upset Cousin Jerod.
“So now the blame of auntie Whitney is my uncle Bobby?” he wrote in a scathing Facebook post.
“No disrespect grandma Cissy,” he continued, “instead of you pointing fingers to a man that gave as much of himself as she did, a love neither one of us can digest, embrace, create, understand, or survive through, try pointing that same finger to find out what truly happen [sic] to auntie Whitney. Your daughter.”
Whitney was hooked on drugs long before falling in love with Bobby—something Cissy knows. After all, she wrote about it in her book,Remembering Whitney.
