The ex-University of Cincinnati cop turned murder suspect Ray Tensing posted bond Thursday evening and was released from the Hamilton County Justice Center, FOX19 NOW has confirmed.He posted 10 percent – $100,000 – in cash and/or property.

Major Charmaine McGuffey says Tensing was released from jail through an entrance that had the least amount amount of people at 6:35 p.m. Thursday.

McGuffey reported that Tensing was placed on a suicide watch and officers check on him every 10 minutes.

Tensing, 25, was indicted Wednesday on murder and voluntary manslaughter charges for the fatal shooting of Samuel DuBose.

He pleaded not guilty and returns to court Aug. 19. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
