The Newark funeral home that handled services for Whitney Houston three years ago will bring her daughter to rest beside her today in Westfield.
The body of Bobbi Kristina Brown is scheduled to arrive at Whigham Funeral Home by 9:30 a.m., according to a source with knowledge of the arrangements. Brown, who was Houston’s only child, will be taken care of by the staff until she is escorted by hearse to Fairview Cemetery, the source says, where Houston is buried next to her father, John Russell Houston.
The 22-year-old, who also was the child of R&B singer Bobby Brown, died last week at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Ga. Her funeral was held Saturday during a private, invitation-only service at St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Ga.
Brown was discovered unconscious Jan. 31 by boyfriend Nick Gordon in a bathroom of the Georgia home they shared; she died July 26. Three years earlier, Whitney Houston had been found unconscious and unresponsive in a bathtub at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California on the eve of the Grammy Awards; she died Feb. 11, 2012.
