You may remember when Angie Stone and her grown daughter,Diamond Stone, were involved in an altercation earlier this year. (Stone also has a teenage son with singer D’Angelo.) In that incident, Diamond accused Stone of physically assaulting her and knocking her teeth out after an argument that started when Angie got upset with Diamond, who lives in her Atlanta home, over Diamond’s alleged inability to discipline her children. Stone was arrested.
We haven’t heard much from either woman since, as Stone quit R&B Divas: Atlanta last year, allegedly because her then-boyfriend/manager was cheating on her with one of the show’s staff. But apparently, Angie and her daughter are still working through their issues. This time, though, they’ve enlisted Bishop T. D. Jakesto help them out via his new self-titled show. It’s currently in a test run in four markets nationwide, with the hopes of greater circulation down the line.
