Venus Williams can now add college graduate to her impressive list of accomplishments.
The former World No. 1 tennis player and sister to the reigning champ received her IU diploma, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University East on August 14.
‘I’ve learned so much,’ 35-year-old Williams said in an IUE press release. ‘It was always my dream to have a business degree.
‘I ended up going to art school so many times, but in the back of my head I felt like I needed the tools to be a better leader, to be a better planner, to be better at all of the things I wanted to do in my businesses because I’m so hands-on.’
Williams enrolled in IU East’s online degree program in 2011. The No. 11 ranked female tennis player completed her courses this summer, IndyStar reports.
