Pro Football Hall of Fame

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has expressed interest in hosting the 2019 NFL Draft in Canton, where the hall of fame is located.

Pete Fierle, the Hall of Fame’s vice president of communications and special assistant to the president, tells WKYC Channel 3’s Hilary Golston the draft would coincide with the completion of the “village” project.

He said the Hall of Fame expressed interest in hosting the draft to the league three weeks ago.

The application process is a long one. At this point, the HOF isn’t quite clear what that will entail.

The first phase of the visionary project includes the construction of new north stands and a fan plaza between the stadium and the Hall of Fame.

A construction timeline has been created to ensure completion of the first phase in time for the 2016 Enshrinement Ceremony, NFL/Hall of Fame Game and Concert for Legends.
