Nine years ago, NFL legend Emmitt Smith and his dancing partner, Cheryl Burke, won season 3 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”
While America watched and cheered him on, his wife, Pat Smith, sat on the sidelines feeling insignificant, jealous and unfulfilled. But all that has changed.
On Wednesday, Oct. 21, Pat joined host Victoria Osteen and fellow guest Lisa Bevere on Joel Osteen’s Sirius XM Channel 128, to share her story and encourage women.
“I wanted to be an actress. I wanted to be a talk show host,” she said, expressing how difficult her season of being a homemaker felt while dreams were unrealized.
According to the CEO of Pat Smith Enterprises, seeing Emmitt having the time of his life only deepened her disappointment brought on by deferred dreams.
