Corey Jones, the drummer killed on his way home from a concert gig in Florida, was gospel recording artist Tye Tribbett’s cousin.

Now the Grammy Award winner is using his musical platform to honor his loved one and speak out against injustice with a free admission “iHope” concert.

The no cost event takes place Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 PM at The Faith Center in Sunrise, FL.

“Hit home this time,” an emotional Tribbett recently wrote on Instagram. “They killed my cousin. Please pray for my family as we’ve YET to receive answers.”

The victim, Jones, 31, a public-housing inspector and part-time musician, was waiting for a tow truck about 3:15 a.m. on Oct. 18 when he was shot multiple times by Palm Beach Gardens officer Nouman Raja.
