Tickets are no longer being distributed for the Muhammad Ali memorial service at the KFC Yum! Center on Friday.
A large group of people lined up outside the Yum! Center as early as 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. LMPD officers allowed the official line to form just before 6 a.m.
Within an hour, the line stretched several blocks through downtown Louisville.
The ticket windows were originally scheduled to open at 10 a.m., but the blinds came up at about 8:15 and tickets were handed out. By 9:15, the windows were closed and the remainder of people waiting were turned away.
