Cameron Sterling, the 15-year-old son of Alton Sterling, a black man who was gunned down by white police officers outside a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, wants America to “protest the right way.”

“Protest in peace, not guns,” said Cameron today while standing outside the Triple S Food Mart where his father died last week.

Though the videotaped murder sent shockwaves across the nation, even inciting violence, the grieving teen doesn’t want any more bloodshed, hatred and division.

At a press conference, he said he believes everyone “should come together as one united family. There should be no more arguments, disagreements, violence, crimes.”
