American swimmer Simone Manuel won the gold medal in the women’s 100-meter freestyle Thursday night at the Rio Olympics.

Canada’s Penny Oleksiak recorded the same time in the race. The two will share the gold medal.

Sweden’s Sarah Sjostrom won bronze.

Manuel’s jaw dropped when she looked at the scoreboard and saw the tie — and that it was an Olympic-record time of 52.70 seconds.

The medal was the second in Rio for Olympic rookie Manuel, who was part of the silver medal winning 4×100-meter freestyle relay on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Texan and Stanford University swimmer will also take part in the 4×100-meter medley relay and the 50-meter freestyle on Friday and Saturday
