Just in case you missed this weeks Fox Empire, Mariah Carey joined the cast/show as a singer named Kitt. The story here though isn’t her acting, but the duet that she performed with Jussie Smollett AKA Jamal Lyon. The song reeked of the Mariah Carey from back in the day that just brought it to you straight from her gut while standing flat footed. A production that gave you a modern day Marvin Gay and Tammi Terrell chemistry, were you could actually see Mariah and Jussie’s souls mesh. The combination was so perfect that I’m embarrassed to say that I can’t remember too much about the episode because I was so captivated by their lyrical vibe.
