First Lady Michelle Obama and Meryl Streep had much to celebrate on Tuesday when they hugged on stage at the White House.

The two were present at the debut screening of Obama’s new CNN documentary We Will Rise, which coincided with the International Day of the Girl.

The two traveled together over the summer to Liberia and Morocco, along with Malia and Sasha Obama.

The screening of the documentary coincided with the International Day of the Girl.

The 67-year-old actress embraced Obama, 52, on stage during the event. The First Lady looked stunning in a black dress decorated with white flowers, while Streep looked colorful in a pink blouse with black trousers.

Obama shared her love of the Oscar-winning actress, saying “The great Meryl Streep has just devoted her not-a-lot-of time to this project. And she is delightful — she is delightful and is intelligent and is focused and engaged — as you would imagine Meryl Streep to be.”
