#JusticeReformNOW: Celebrities For Justice & Voices Of Impacted People

This is deep… Have you ever thought about the first time your color mattered?  How about the first time you realized you were black?  Have you always known or did something life altering happen to bring you to that realization?  CNN produced a video compiled of 20 celebrities that discussed the subject, first time they realized that their color mattered. The compelling video included CNN anchor Van Jones, Montel Williams and others.  CNN sited the works of W.E.B. Du Bois was the catalyst for this project.

In “The Souls of Black Folk,” W.E.B. Du Bois talks about the first time he realized his skin color made him different.

According to a Facebook post CNN is interested in knowing when did you realize you were black and is encouraging others to share their story and hashtag it #realizediwasblack.
