Teachers, though well-intentioned, often bring unconscious bias into the classroom. Some schools are having the uncomfortable but necessary discussion about how race plays out between educators and students.
Educator and leadership coach Verta Maloney sat down with NewsOne to offer insight into eliminating unconscious bias and how teachers can connect with their students.
Teachers want to see their students do well. To accomplish that, Maloney says they must believe that their pupils of color can succeed.
