Most Christians don’t realize what they have with this power because so many don’t know what the Word of God says regarding their rights in Christ. But glory be to God that we are everything that the Word of God says that we are. We just need to learn how to apply His Word to our lives.

Ephesians 1:15-22 says, “Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”

This is the power that we have-that we may know what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe. This is the power that raised Jesus from the dead, according to Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” This Spirit can heal your body, or do whatever you need at any given time. The power is available to you.

However, if we don’t know that, then we can’t ever use it-we go around powerless and that is the way too many Christian live. They live like they don’t have anything, or like they don’t amount to much, they live with low self esteem, they don’t think about who they are in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 3:14, “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.” That is what the church is lacking-the power of the Holy Spirit. After you have been born again and receive salvation through Jesus then you receive the Holy Spirit to help you live the overcoming and victorious life-He is our power source.
