Fashion Houses must not have a Human Resources department or a code of ethics training program. Because these past couple of weeks have been full of designers not thinking before they let their models strut their offensive down runway. First it was Gucci and their black face sweater then Prada and their big lip monkey thing now it Burberry.
It appears that the Fashion Designers at Burberry creative juices flowed and poured out the idea that suicide was sexy and fashionable, as they premiered a hoodie with a noose tied around it for London Fashion Week this past Sunday. After the visual of the garment disturbed fashion models as well as others, they took to social media to voice their displeasure.
Which prompted an apology from Burberry.
Burberry CEO Marco Gobbetti issued a statement Tuesday saying the brand is “deeply sorry for the distress” the top has caused.
Burberry Creative Director Riccardo Tisci: “While the design was inspired by a nautical theme, I realize that it was insensitive.”
As much money as we give these designers they still use couture to insult you. #IJS
