CLEVELAND — A John Carroll graduate donated a whopping $20 million to the university, according to a news release.
The graduate, an anonymous donor, voiced gratitude to the university, citing appreciation to academic leaders and Jesuits who impacted their college experience.
“My experience at John Carroll University shaped my life, molded my character and inspired my future. I am so grateful to be in a position to invest in John Carroll and to ensure that its mission of educating men and women for and with others continues in earnest,” stated the donor in the news release.
President Michael Johnson said the unrestricted donation is rare in higher education and he plans on using it to fulfill the university’s most immediate needs.
