What they’re up to ain’t exactly clear, but this much is certain: Devo will perform at 8 p.m. Monday at the Whistler Medals Plaza outdoor amphitheater as part of the Olympics’ daily Whistler Victory Ceremonies.

Devo is celebrating the appearance by releasing a new song, “Fresh,” and giving it away for free online at ClubDevo.com for 24 hours after the concert. A full-length album, the band’s first in more than 19 years, is scheduled for release in May.

“Look for Devo to penetrate every nook and cranny of our technologically advanced pop culture in the coming year,” says an announcement on the band’s Web site. “With an arsenal of new songs, videos, fashions, apps, toys, games, live performances and more we will reach out to create something for everybody. Devo will, together with our corporate partners, keep fighting the good fight to spread the Devolutionary message across the globe.”
