CLEVELAND, Ohio — Some Northeast Ohio consumers reported Saturday that they had cartons of recalled Hillandale Farms eggs in their refrigerators, bought in area stores before the recall.
Their discovery — after The Plain Dealer earlier in the day published the carton numbers of eggs being recalled — means the product, possibly tainted with salmonella bacteria, have been in area stores.
