Nicholas A. Zavarella has been charged with bribing Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora with free masonry work in exchange for favors that included helping a relative of Zavarella’s obtain two different teaching jobs in the county.

The charge, the latest in the ongoing probe in public corruption in Cuyahoga County, was filed this morning in U.S. District Court in Cleveland. Dimora was not mentioned by name in the court filing.

Instead, like many other charges and documents filed in the case, it refers to Public Official 1, with a description that matches Dimora.
