The Browns search for an identity may be complete as the Browns bullied past the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 Sunday, behind the bullish running of Peyton Hillis.
Hillis brings an old school mentality to the Browns offense that has been absent for years. After last week’s loss to Baltimore, Hillis’ monster game was appreciated, but not fully valued because the Browns couldn’t close the game out and get the victory.
That may be a tad unfair, but being able to run for more than 100 yards in back-to-back games gives the Browns one less thing to worry about, and gives opponents something tough to stop. With Hillis’ no frills style, it allows the Browns to win without forcing the ball to the team’s two young wide outs.
