30 Day and 30 Years w/ Radio One: Game On! Z107.9 Slams On 19 Action News in charity basketball game at the “Q”
Radio One is celebrating it’s 30 year anniversary this month and aims to give back to the community with 30 days of community outreach. The charity basketball game for The Boys and Girls club took place Tuesday evening with Radio One Cleveland (ROC) against 19 Action News. Radio personalities from Z 107.9 FM, Colby Colb, DJ Knyce with Kameika Smith (ROC Marketing Director) and Coach Jeff Wilson (ROC General Manager) hit the “Q” Arena court to slam a 6-4 lead in the game which was interrupted by the Charlotte Bobcats who played against the Cavs thereafter. Though we did not finish the game, we all know who would have taken the game home in the lead, ROC! We thank 19 Action news personalities, Chief Meteorologist Jeff Tanchak, The Investigator Carl Monday, Buzz host Chris Van Vliet, and news anchor Sharon Reed who all participated in the game. Better luck next time!
Proceeds from the game went to the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Ohio.
