CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – It looks like Cleveland has finally found themselves a quarterback in rookie Colt McCoy. Making his first start in Cleveland McCoy played a mistake free game against New England, completing 14 of 19 passes for 174 yards and no interceptions. McCoy also ran for a score as the Browns upset New England 31-14.
Peyton Hillis also gets a gold star, he ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns. His 35 yard scoring run with 2:38 to play sealed the game in the fourth quarter. Hillis also hauled in 36 yards receiving to finish the day with 210 yards of total offense.
The Browns now advance to 3-5, next week they’ll take on the Jets and former Brownie Braylon Edwards.
The scoring for the Browns started early, they had 10 points on the scoreboard before most fans made it to their seats!
