UNIONTOWN, OH (WOIO) – A standoff in Uniontown ends peacefully after tear gas is used.
Neighbors say this all started when one of their neighbors came out of his house around 8am and started shooting bullets into ground.
911 was called.
Uniontown police responded.
Witnesses say homeowner on Cleveland Ave NW threatened cops and standoff started.
For 6 hours suspect continued to fire his weapons. Neighbors heard more than 2 dozen shots. SWAT continued to tell suspect that they weren’t going to hurt him and to come out. Just before 2pm Swat fired tear gas into the home. Suspect came out unarmed with his hands up and was tackled.
