(RNN) – This year’s Black Friday isn’t for the faint of heart, as retailers opened their doors earlier than ever.

At 3 a.m. this morning, Kohl’s let shoppers enter its doors; at 4 a.m. Target followed suit with its earliest-ever opening for the retail industry’s biggest day of the year.

But few retailers will open their doors as early as Toys “R” Us.

“We’re planning our biggest Black Friday ever,” said Jerry Storch, the company’s chairman and CEO in a news release. “Beginning with our stores opening at 10 p.m. on Thursday night, we’re ready to provide customers with more hours to shop, more ways to save and more of the hottest toys.”
