A corrections officer finds himself on the other side of the law. James Bell is charged with raping an male inmate.
We have an exclusive interview with the alleged victim, as 19 Action News digs deeper into the case.
We were the first to report this when it happened back in March, but it would take nearly six weeks before rape charges would be filed against Bell.
The 24 year old man spent four days in the Cleveland House of Corrections for a minor crime.
“I was sleeping just relaxing trying to get through the day,” said the victim.
But he says what happened to him while he was there was major.
“Well he know what he did, God knows what he did and he know what he did,” said the victim.
He says 32-year-old Officer James Bell raped him. He says it happened in his room, on his bed, down the hall from other inmates.
