Cincinnati Teens Shine at the 2024 AAU Junior Olympics - Page 3

As the world turns its attention toward the Paris Olympics— back home, the AAU Junior Olympics of 2024 has been delivering non-stop action. The competition wrapped August 3rd, consisting of 8 days in Greensboro, North Carolina. The competition annually highlights the dedication and talent of young athletes across America and their spectacular performances.

Throughout the event, numerous ‘Nati hometown champions emerged! Standout teen, Adrienne Knox, won two gold medals in the 12-year-old girls’ pentathlon and the 12-year-old girls’ long jump. Another impressive feat was accomplished by the youngest contender, Bellamy Durojaiye, who secured a silver medal in the 9-year-old girls’ triathlon. Additionally, 14-year-old Conner Sherman dazzled judges with his gold medal win in the 100 meters.
