The class-conscious comedy movie was only expected to open up with between $8-10 million in sales.
While Tyler Perry seemed to have the Black marriage/comedy market in a stranglehold, Jakes appears to be a player now with the success of this movie.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich says filming of the Marvel Studios superhero movie “The Avengers” will take place in Cleveland.
Kasich made the announcement Thursday before Mayor Frank Jackson’s State of the City address.
