CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – Cleveland Police are investigating a double fatal accident that occurred at W.74th and Franklin Avenue Sunday afternoon.
Just before 12pm, a two car accident was reported at W.74th and Franklin, Upon arrival on scene, Cleveland Police Second District Officers found two damaged vehicles including a blue Chevy Lumina that had struck a pole. There were five passengers inside of th Chevy.
The second vehicle was a black Chevy trailblazer with two occupants that was turned on its side.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the Chevy Trailblazer operator was speeding along W. 74th Street and failed to stop for the red light. The Chevy Trailblazer struck the Chevy Lumina. The force of the impact caused the Lumina to hit a pole and the Trailblazer to flip on its side.
