Obama To Meet Civil Rights Legend Ruby Bridges At White House

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will meet with Ruby Bridges, who was one of the first African Americans to integrate the New Orleans public school system in 1960. Bridges was immortalized in the Norman Rockwell painting, “The Problem We All Live With,” that captured the bigotry and hatred of racism.
The painting was recently placed outside the Oval Office.
